Dennis Bires

Dennis Bires is a lawyer at Frederic Dorwart Lawyers, the law firm serving as local counsel to Tallgrass Community Development, LLC. His law degree and Masters of Law degree in Taxation are from New York University.  Dennis has seven years’ experience representing both George Kaiser Family Foundation and the CDE in community development projects in Tulsa, as well as 30 years’ experience teaching various aspects of Federal Tax Law at The University of Tulsa College of Law, in full-time and adjunct professor capacities, and as Associate Dean of the College.  Dennis’s service as development project local counsel has included the Robinson Packer Building rehabilitation ($1.2 million, Historic Tax Credits);  the Atlas Life Building rehabilitation ($12 million, Historic Tax Credits);  the Mayo Hotel rehabilitation ($42 million, Historic Tax Credits);  the Tulsa Paper Company Building rehabilitation ($32 million, New Markets and Historic Tax Credits);  the combined Universal Ford Building and Fox Hotel rehabilitation ($16 million, New Markets and Historic Tax Credits);  the Archer Building rehabilitation (anticipated $30 million, New Markets and Historic Tax Credits);  Guthrie Green ($10 million, park construction);  A Gathering Place in Tulsa ($270 million, park construction);  and ONEOK Field ($25 million, minor league ballpark).
